SAMSUNG'S 3D MARVEL
The astonishing PS50C680G5
The Samsung PS50C680 TV has a 50" Full HD 3D screen, built-in Freeview and a refresh rate of 600Hz.
When you connect the set to a 3D Blu-ray player or games console you’ll enjoy stunning 3D pictures with no blur.
We have been very impressed by this 3D plasma, it’s highly recommended.
An immersive 3D experience
This Samsung 3D TV offers a truly impressive immersive viewing experience by liberating content from the flat confines of the TV and turning it into engaging imagery. The effect is truly breathtaking – life-enriching, ultra-real picture quality that rivals the cinema – imported into your own living room. Samsung innovation has even made it possible to convert your favourite 2D movies to 3D. Although this isn’t true 3D in any way, the clever circuitry works out what elements are usually in the foreground and gives depth accordingly. It works well and gets you more involved and immersed.

The Samsung PS50C680G5 has full broadcast quality HD 1080p which has twice the detail and twice the resolution of regular HDTV. It delivers dazzlingly, rich colour and vivid details. And even corrects the errors from standard definition content. It has a digital noise filter.
This TV evens improves non-perfect orginal footage with its state of the art circuitry.
When you have a less-than-perfect picture in a poor reception area, this filter reduces the analoge noise created during transmission─ reproducing clear images, sharp details, and bringing images back to their original form.
This is something film archives do now a frame at a time with old grainy film or worn out videos, but the Samsung does this in real time – astonishing.
Have you ever noticed how with plasma screens, motions can get a little jerky? Unless you happen to be looking at one of Samsung's new plasma TVs like this model.
The circuitry takes every frame and is made seamlessly smooth because they put 12 full subfields into each frame. That's where the 600Hz claim comes from. What's more, it really works!
So contours are crisper, scrolling text sharper and the juddering issue is finally put to rest.
So now you can have faith that what you're watching is very very close to as the broadcasters or movie makers intended. In nyour own living room. John Logie Baird would never have dreamt all this!
SAMSUNG'S DYNAMIC CONTRAST RATIO
The Samsung has Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio – at last true cinematic clarity comes to plasmas.
Every frame is saturated with dense, rich colour. Blacks have more depth and the whites are unbelievably pristine.
Samsung's ANYNET system
The Samsung PS50C680G5 comes with the Anynet+ system! Anynet+ delivers one-touch control for all compatible Samsung audio and video devices connected via HDMI. Now one touch is all it takes instead of a coffee table full of annoying remotes.

Samsung HDTVs are easy on the planet—and on your eyes. Their unique Eco Sensor measures the intensity of the room’s light and automatically calibrates the brightness of the image on the screen. In a brightly lit environment, the picture brightness grows even brighter, and in dim surroundings, brightness is reduced. So now you’re not wasting energy on a bright screen when it isn’t needed. Enjoy the best picture possible with a TV that’s aware of its surroundings.
An amazing High Resolution 1080p picture in 3D isn’t enough. To really get the full experience from what you’re watching you need SRS theater sound. Its realistic audio envelopes you with rich, stunning surround sound. And with discreetly hidden speakers, it’s all about the big picture.

From Amazon customer Harvey:
This TV really is amazing!! I got this for Christmas, and the picture quality and 3D is mind blowing. It's also has Freeview HD built in so you get BBC HD and ITV 1 HD, and you really can notice the difference. The 3D is better viewed in the dark, and I particularly wanted a 3D TV for PS3 game play. I had Gran Turismo 5 and the 3D is brilliant. The 2D to 3D extra is a good idea and was pretty good when watching Dr Who Christmas special, but it just gives it more depth, nothing pops out like the 3D Bluerays, (i recommend Alice in Wonderland and use the 2D to 3D feature to watch Toy Story 3) l love it, Its a stunning looking piece of kit with the glass frame and touch screen panel on the TV set. plus you cant go wrong for the price for a 3D TV?! I would definitely recommend :)
From Amazon customer Will:
I still had a CRT TV and wanted to upgrade to a flat screen HD TV, I went along and saw a demonstration of a 3d TV. I thought 3D was just a gimmick but having seen it my mind was changed. I had to have a 3D TV. I still had a preference for an LED or LCD TV that does 3D but even for 46", they are very expensive and would have left no money for the surround sound. Then I saw this TV, 3 pairs of 3D glasses and a Samsung 3D blueray player for [...]. I thought that too good to ignore and i took the plunge. The TV is 50". It looks great. The stand, which I have not used also looks great. The picture quality is simply superb and just as good as the LED TVs. The clours are vibrant and sharp. You can make 2D into 3D and the effect is to give the picture much more depth (you have to wear the glasses). I have used the TV for 3D from sky and again the glasses must be worn, the effect is simply stunning. So much more depth. You almost feel that you are in the picture. I watched the football for the first time in 3D and the effect is 'wow'. Whether in HD or 3D the action sequences on this TV are first class. The sound quality is in stereo and is surprisingly good for such a flat screen. However, with a TV like this, I think you may well want a surround sound with it. Having looked at many TVs, I am of the view that Samsung is ahead of its competition, The TV looks great, it is easy to set up and has Freeview HD, the picture in digital, HD or 3D is excellent. I don't think you will get a better 50" flatscreen TV which does 3D for the money. Excellent value. Excellent TV. Highly recommended.
